Ron Reich was born in Stockton, California,
on February 13, 1941. He married Cheryl Reich in 1960
and they have two sons and nine grandchildren. Ron began
his career on the railroad at Southern Pacific. He started
as a yard clerk and then became a ticket agent. He eventually
earned his way to a brakeman's job and worked out of
Tracy and Oakland, California.
In 1963, Ron was injured on the Southern Pacific causing him to leave the railroad. He joined the law firm
of Hildebrand, McLeod & Nelson as a railroad investigator
in March 1965 and never looked back. Throughout his
four decade career as an FELA investigator, Ron has
investigated FELA cases, assisted attorneys in preparing
for FELA trials, and attended those trials.
Ron is one of the most experienced investigators in
his field due to his vast knowledge of railroad operations
and the factual elements involved in FELA cases. Furthermore,
he has worked on railroad cases in Michigan and throughout
the Western states: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Colorado,
Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Oregon and California.
When not plying his investigator's trade, he will invariably
be found playing a few holes on the golf course.
