John was born in Los Angeles in 1974
and grew up in Oakland. He attended the University of
California, Berkeley. There, he earned his B.A. with
a double major in English and legal studies in 1997.
He also won four varsity letters in baseball, starting
three years and finishing his senior year with a .341
batting average. He then went to Santa Clara University
School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2000. During his
last semester of law school, he externed with U.S. District
Court Judge Spencer Williams in San Jose.
Experienced in diverse civil litigation
matters, John has been practicing in California since
December 2000.
He volunteers at various Bay Area Workers
Rights Clinics, an activity he has enjoyed since his
first year of law school.
In his spare time, John enjoys baseball,
tennis, and photography. |
